Inner City Youth for Change

Inner City Youth for Change (ICYFC) is dedicated to empowering teens to become leaders, visionaries, and change-makers in their communities and beyond. Through mentorship, service, and leadership development, ICYFC provides young people with the tools to break barriers, build meaningful relationships, and create lasting change—whether in their hometowns or across the world.

I had the privilege of capturing photography for ICYFC as they prepared for their 2024 gala, The Drumbeat of Transformation. This event was both a celebration of the students involved in the program and a critical fundraiser to support the organization’s mission.

During one of their working sessions, I documented students creating Vision Boards and participating in team-building activities—powerful moments that reflected their growth and aspirations. Seeing their dedication firsthand was inspiring, and I’m grateful to have played a role in capturing their journey.

The gala was a tremendous success, and I’m honored to have contributed by helping to share ICYFC’s story. From leadership programs in Kalamazoo to service trips across Africa, ICYFC is transforming lives, and being part of their journey, even in a small way, was truly meaningful.
